The semiconductor industry is transforming as manufacturers localize supply chains and expand regional production capacity to reduce risk, improve resilience and support the rapid growth of artificial intelligence (AI). Investment in semiconductor fab and data center construction is building the physical infrastructure that will house and power tomorrow’s digital economy. As more fabs and data centers are built closer to end markets, demand is rising for partners that can provide the specialized infrastructure, high-purity systems and dependable local support these facilities require.

At the same time, the construction supply chain has remained under pressure, with rising material costs, logistical bottlenecks, policy shifts and labor shortages compounding delays across the industry. For customers pursuing localization, overcoming these challenges is essential to bringing new capacity online faster and more reliably.

Foresight Technologies has responded by expanding our regional footprint and capabilities to better support the localization of semiconductor manufacturing, helping customers access the high-purity infrastructure, specialized expertise and field execution needed to scale closer to where chips are designed, built and deployed.

Global Manufacturing Strength for a Regionalized Future

Global growth in advanced manufacturing has forced companies to rethink how they structure their supply chains. As fabs, foundries and hyperscalers move from a global model to a more regionalized and resilient one, a strong local presence has become a critical advantage. Foresight supports this shift by building capacity closer to customers, helping semiconductor manufacturers reduce lead times, strengthen continuity and source high-purity systems from trusted regional partners.

We do this through our two regional sites, one in the United States and one in Southeast Asia. Our U.S. facility has established the industry’s most advanced high-purity production capabilities related to machining, plastic welding, high-purity piping and chemical system integration. Expansions over the last several years now provide over 165,000 square feet of production facilities and 400+ highly skilled staff supporting OEM and fab customers in Arizona and across the Southwest.

In addition to our production capabilities in the U.S., we offer assembly services for the advanced manufacturing systems and subsystems we build, supporting mission-critical applications across the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem. From wafer and chemical delivery equipment to cleanroom and test environments, we have been a trusted OEM partner for the global semiconductor ecosystem for over 30 years.

We are also on the leading edge of moving to a regionalized strategy, first expanding into Southeast Asia in 2010 and quickly becoming a leader in high-purity manufacturing in Penang, Malaysia. Over the past 16 years, the campus continued to expand, reaching 190,000 square feet with 600 skilled staff. This growth strengthened our ability to serve regional semiconductor hubs with localized manufacturing support while also broadening our reach as a global supplier that helps customers navigate regional disruptions and shifting market demand.

Foresight On-Site: Bringing Capabilities Closer to the Customer to Support Fab Construction

We began providing high-purity chemical infrastructure to fabs in 2023 and formalized our involvement in fab construction in 2025 by launching Foresight On-Site (FOS). FOS is our C4-licensed fab construction solutions division that manages both the fabrication and installation of high-purity systems in fabs and other advanced manufacturing environments. FOS combines our high-purity plastics expertise with in-house manufacturing to support the construction and installation of high-purity plumbing, plastic containment structures, tools, water and wastewater systems, and chemical equipment.

By bringing these capabilities closer to the jobsite, we help customers localize project execution while maintaining the quality and precision demanded by semiconductor facilities. Our expertise in both on-site and off-site production delivers turnkey build/install solutions, shorter lead times and lower costs for our customers, which are critical to fab construction.

These services strengthen our position in the semiconductor value chain by addressing the shortage of skilled mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) trade talent both directly and indirectly. Our MEP specialists hold licenses across multiple disciplines, including C4 and UL-508 certifications, ensuring that our customers receive top-notch work. Additionally, with our dedicated in-house manufacturing lines, we prefabricate high-purity systems, reducing the costs associated with on-site construction and installation labor. This cost-effective model leverages our capabilities and logistics to deliver advanced manufacturing and digital infrastructure projects faster while providing customers with a more localized, reliable path to scaling critical fab infrastructure.

We have already supported multiple fab construction projects in the U.S., providing high-purity pipefitting, containment and tool-hookup services to the largest U.S. facilities driving the AI boom. To support this growth, we opened a new 10,000-square-foot facility in Arizona in 2026. It will serve as FOS’s secondary base of operations nearer to our customers, further strengthening our ability to support domestic semiconductor growth with specialized local expertise, faster response times and closer proximity to major fab investments.
